Autres informations > Plurimaths GroupPluriMaths Group, practices of plurilingualism and mathematics educationFrom a didactic perspective, the working group aims to study and describe the language practices of mathematicians at the level of verbal interactions and written materials, within different national contexts, taking into account school cultures and the multilingualism of pupils. Our central interest is how the data collected in first, second or foreign languages can be used in classroom teaching and learning. The purposes of this discourse analysis are important for language learning obviously, but also for disciplinary learning, in this case mathematics: in classes for so-called non-linguistic disciplines (for example, in bilingual or binational sections, such as for the Bachibac), for working with migrant allophone students (in language teaching units or in inclusion), but also in regular classes. Engaged in practical activities, the participants of Plurimaths organise working groups for setting up projects, collaborate on corpus analysis and cooperate with wider professional networks. The work is organised through monthly seminars and within public sessions of various kinds (study days in 2019/2020, and a public seminar in 2021). Information mailing listFollowing the Plurimaths days in December 2020, an information list on plurilingual practices and the teaching of mathematics has been created. It is possible to register here (web) or here (mail). Key dates
